Public Radio Player app good for
just great but the app quits sometimes. The download feature is awesome. I can listen to my favorite shows offline.
The commercial landscape in the radio business needs a landmark. PR fills the spot exceptionally well!!
What a wealth of information and inspiration. Public Radio is just great.
This apps pretty good... Although I was really disappointed to see that my favourite station wasnt there. Its KROQ, aired from LA. *hint hint* ;D
And also, theres a crashing bug that needs to be fixed when searching. =/
I downloaded this to listen/stream NPR (from Canada), and so far, its been excellent. No problem with loading times, and found my favorite NPR stations/programs right away.
Love having free access to such a wide range of public radio shows. Just wish I could keep the radio playing in the background while I do other stuff with the phone (like browse the web or read an ebook.)
Some bad moments
First of all, I wished it was possible to get NPR Berlin, as even in Berlin its not easy to get a good reception over FM.
Second, I am missing a feature to find out when a certain show is playing next. I find myself having missed the start of "A Prairie Home Companion" or "This American Live" and then randomly sampling stations based on time zones to find a station to air the show the following hour.
Months later ... Still no NPR Berlin.
Ok it completly and utterly sucked balls. Dont waste your time on this app.
I absolutely love Public Radio, but this application is one huge disappointment. I dont understand what the problem is, but this application doesnt even launch most of the time. When it does launch, it stays on the "Loading" Screen for at least a few minutes, which is pretty bad. I hope the developer makes this app better because it is one hell of an idea.
Doesnt support Canadian radio stations, and takes very long to load. This app is a very good idea, but needs much improvement.
i was hoping for stations in canada. plus its kinda slow . please improve!
Ten seconds of loading after I open this app, it crashes. Honestly, an app is no good if it cant be used, I would like to look forward to this being fixed.
