Public Radio Player App Reviews

This is one of my favourite Apps. I listen to Public Radio often, and this app works great. The previous version had some connectivity issues with some of my favourite stations, even over WiFi, but this version seems to have cleared that all up. I dont know which version added the ability to surf the web while staying in the App, but this is fantastic. WTG!

This is the best public radio aggregator Ive used. And the update looks great. Alarm clock radio ... heck yeah!! I almost cant wait to wake up tomorrow. ;-)

Nice app. If I wanted Canadian stations I suppose Id talk to those stations about offering an app (which I have) instead of giving low ratings to this one. It also doesnt have Paraguayan stations. The horror!

Good except for the CH.17 atmosphere

Horrible app

Ten seconds of loading after I open this app, it crashes. Honestly, an app is no good if it cant be used, I would like to look forward to this being fixed.

Crashes every time I start the app. Too bad cuz I really like NPR.

All the states in us but nothing in Canada.

Wont load and just kicks you back to your app screen. Looks like it needs some attention. NPR and CBC apps work well as comparison.

On 3GS iOS4.2, (in Canada using wifi), works great, scads of stations and podcasts to choose from, both live shows and on demand, can save favorite stations and shows and podcasts as well for easy access, has covenant 30sec playback button too

Im streaming 90.3 KAZU classical HD2 (128k) from Canada and its working well over 3G. The interface isnt perfect but as long as the stations are operating, the app works with them.

Doesnt show me any radio stations from Edmonton AB no matter what I do. I dont mind listening to other ones but listening to a local one would be nice once in awhile.

Cant stream to Apple TV.

The new version does not allow you to search for individual NPR programs you want to listen to. You have to find a station and then hope the show is playing. This is a very big disadvantage for this upgraded version.

I dont listen to anything else on this app.

Not as user friendly or as stable as the previous version of the app, but still an excellent up to date (hour by hour) repository of U.S. public radio programming

Its the best public radio app I have found. It crashes occasionally, but not so much that I dont tune in often.

I love this app. Its not totally perfect but bravo for creating a simple app that aggregates NPR (and CBC) favorites along with public radio programming from around the world - all in one place every day. Its a feast!

Great new version, very fast to navigate and to link up to streams.
